And if you are on a tight budget, you won't believe what a difference just changing your window treatments will do.  Green curtains look great no matter what color your decor if you have plants in the room.  The same as with brown curtains bringing out any wood or wood accents.
Try putting your plants in different pots, especially those with striking colors.
Dark woods are coming back in style although I believe they always were.  Mahogany, Teak and Cherry are my favorites and of course dark Oak and Walnut.
And though we don't have any...ladies shirts with ruffles and or frills on the front are very big right now, but not for us plus size ladies - sorry. 
Less is more...One, two or three simple geometric shapes over your sofa or bed takes the place of busy groupings.  Check our new National Geographic Home Collection or Plaques department under Home Decor Accents for some nice idea pieces.   Try 3 circles in a row, or 4 diamond or square shapes in a diamond pattern.
